Jes' favorite Summer drink
Put an entire juicy watermelon in the blender with a little ice -- drop a few mint leaves in your glass and dive into ecstasy.
Francisco's insane and I mean INSANE fire roasted salsa
Roast tomatoes on the vine over an open fire, roast chili's ; (pasilla, serrano's, annehiem and arbor chili's) once everything is roasted remove the seeds and peel, chop cilantro, onions and garlic (the secret is to chop incredibly fine) then mix together and salt to taste. You can add or remove anything to make this incredible salsa hot or mild. For mild the ratio should be 4 tomatoes to one chile.
Hearty Garden Vegetable Salad
Ingredients:
1 Bunch/box Fresh Organic Spinach
1 Small box of Cherry Tomatoes
3 Stalks of Celery
1 Red Pepper
1/2 Bunch Parsley
2-3 Stems Fresh Basil
1 Can of Beans (kidney, fava, lima, etc.)
1 Hard Boiled Egg
1/2 package of Feta Cheese
1/2 can of black olives
(Salad Dressing ingredients are at the bottom of page)
Chop fresh Spinach, Garden greens and or romaine lettuce.
Rinse with water Spin in salad spinner to remove water.
Lay folded paper towel in bottom of salad bowl
Add lettuce to bowl.
Add cherry tomatoes, celery stalks, red peppers, chopped parsley, and chopped basil.
Rinse beans, kidney, fava, etc, in strainer to remove starch add to Salad bowl.
Toss salad well.
Top with sliced hard boiled egg.
1/2 package feta cheese and black olives.
Salad Dressing Ingredients:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Ground pepper
Apple cider vinegar
Bragg's Aminos
Tahini
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup tahini & pepper + few shakes of braggs aminos or tamari sauce.
Pour into a bottle, and shake the bottle before serving.
Hearty Vegetable Soup
Ingredients:
2 Garlic Gloves
1 sweet onion (preferably Vadalia)
3 carrots
3 stalks of celery
2 cans of Organic Chipped Tomatoes
1 Fresh bag of spinach
Beans
Herbs & Spices:
Salt, Pepper, Cayenne, Herbs de Provence and Turmeric to taste.
Saute one onion + 2 garlic cloves in a small amount of olive oil
Add 3 chopped carrots (cut like coins)
Add 3 chopped stalks of celery
2 cans of organic chopped tomatoes
Top with fresh bag of spinach
add beans of any type, kidney, white, etc.
Cook gently until all vegetables are tender, but do not overcook
Finally add salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and any herbs to pronounce taste.
Always use organic vegteables for full flavor.
Jes Favorite Liquid Gold Drink
Ingredients:
12 - Carrot w/ Skin
5 - Apples
1 - Cucumber
1 - Zucchini
Cilantro (Large Bunch)
Parsley (Large Bunch)
Swiss Chard (Entire Bunch)
Kale (Entire Bunch)
Entire Lemon w/ Peel
Juice all ingredients and enjoy!
